Water Feature Mosaicing

Thanks to the hard work of some very good friends of mine we now have a work of art in our back garden. The old, crumbling red brick has taken on a new beauty.

Before we started it looked like this:

Patrick cemented over to give us a good surface to work on:

Then, on Saturday 9th June 2007, Lorraine, Jenni, Shelley, Susannah, Tora and I went to work on the top section. See below for how each of our sections worked out.

On Sunday 12th August Lorraine and Susannah came over to help me tile the rim.

Saturday 25th August Patrick and I grouted the top and rim.

Monday 27th August Patrick and I covered the base with tile adhesive and I added the random tiles. We put the N for Nevin on the front - we felt it needed a signature of some kind and the girls weren't around to sign it. Now it looks like this:
